MIDDLE SCHOOL DRESS CODE

Such items are frequently expensive, distracting, and rarely appropriate. They will be taken by the Middle School Head and returned after school.
2. Cell phones (and camera phones, in particular) are discouraged. If it is essential that a student bring a cell phone to school, it must be kept turned off and remain in the hall locker during the school day. It may not be brought out during dismissal. The School is responsible for the safety of students, thus emergency carpooling questions must be handled with the school’s help. Cell phones are expensive, easily misplaced, and can be misused to cheat or harass.
Telephone use policy:
1. To use the phone, students need to receive permission from a teacher, Division Head, or the Division Office.
2. Students may be given permission to use the phone in the Middle School office, or in the athletic office, if a game is canceled. No other phone may be used.
3. Students should use the phone for emergency concerns only.
Monitoring and/or restricting students’ use of the telephone is a responsibility of the School. School personnel need to know if an emergency, or a perceived emergency has occurred, in order to handle the situation appropriately.
