Lower School Uniforms

DRESS CODE Requirements (General):

Students must conform to the dress requirements. Parents need to ensure that their children are properly attired before they leave for school each morning. Repeated dress code violations may result in students being sent home to change, or other disciplinary action.

LOWER SCHOOL Dress Code Requirements

Girls:

Plaid jumper (skirts for 4th and 5th only).

Navy or khaki twill pants (standard style with belt loops) No cropped pants, corduroy or denim. If slacks are worn, shirts must be tucked in at all times with a black, brown or navy belt (RCS belts also acceptable).

Collared blouse, turtleneck, or polo shirt in white or navy only (no logo except RCS).

Navy shorts may be worn under jumpers and kilts. They must be short enough to not be visible.

Navy or white socks, or tights. During cold weather girls may wear leggings with their jumpers or kilts. Leggings should be purchased through Flynn & O’Hara and must taper to fit neatly inside socks. Under no circumstances will sweat pants, yoga pants, knit slacks or uniform slacks be worn with the jumper or kilt.

Solid navy cardigan or pullover sweater, Ruxton sweatshirt or vest, which may be purchased through the RCS School Store. (Hoodies are a Middle School privilege)

Neutral-colored shoes with laces should be worn each day: tennis shoes, saddle shoes, brown bucks or sneakers. Not allowed at any time: slip-ons, slides, loafers, sandals, clogs, or shoes with lights. Boots may be worn during inclement weather.

No extreme haircuts or dyed hair.

Earrings should be no larger than a dime and no excessive jewelry should be worn to school.

Boys:

White or navy turtleneck, white or navy polo shirt only (no logo except RCS), no button down broadcloth shirts.

Navy or white socks.
